<li><strong>Don’t overdress it.</strong> Add mayonnaise one tablespoon at a time. You want the cabbage coated, not swimming.</li>



<li><strong>Too much dressing?</strong> Spoon slaw into a strainer set over a bowl. Let it drain for a few minutes, then return to the bowl and toss.</li>



<li><strong>Keep cabbage crisp:</strong> Store chopped cabbage in an airtight container in the crisper drawer until you are ready to use it.</li>
