Equipment

  • 1 - 2-quart sauepan

Ingredients

  • 6 large eggs
  • ¼ cup mayonnaise
  • 1 ½ tbsp sweet pickle relish (or dill relish or a mix of both)
  • tsp salt
  • 1 dash black pepper
  • shake Paprika ( for garnishing)

Instructions

  • Slice eggs in half lengthwise, and carefully remove the yolks.
  • Place the yolks in a bowl and add mayonnaise. Mash the two together until smooth. The mixture should have a creamy texture that is not too runny or stiff.
  • Add the relish, salt, and pepper and mix well. Again a creamy not runny texture.
  • Spoon the mixture into each egg white half. The mixture should go in easy and keep its shape.
  • Garnish with Paprika. You can get as creative as you like with garnishing. So go for it!
  • This a simple Southern recipe for deviled eggs. Simple is sometimes the Best! Enjoy!
