This Easy Peach Dumpling recipe combines juicy peaches, flaky crescent rolls, and a sweet, buttery sauce for a quick Southern dessert everyone will love.
Preheat Oven to 350℉. Lightly spray an 8 x 8 baking pan and set aside
Unroll the crescent rolls and separate each triangle. Place 1 peach slice on the wide end of each crescent roll and roll up. Place each one in the baking pan. If you wish, you can place extra peach slices around each crescent.
In a small bowl, combine and whisk the melted butter, sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and flour. Pour this mixture over the top of each crescent roll, making sure to cover each.
Pour the 3/4 cup of Sprite or another lemon-lime soda around the edges of the baking pan. Do notpour soda over the top of the dumplings.
Bake for 45-50 minutes or until crescent rolls are golden brown
Remove from the oven and let cool. While still warm, serve with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, a drizzle of caramel sauce, or both.
Using the correct-size pan is important. If you use a pan that is too big, the dumplings will dry out.
This recipe can be doubled or even tripled. Simply double or triple all ingredients. Increase the pan size when you increase the recipe, keeping the dumplings close together.
Note that one serving size will be one dumpling and sauce. The vanilla ice cream will not be included in the nutritional information.
