Peanut Butter Chocolate Brownie Trifle

Ingredients

  • 1 box fudge brownie mix
  • 1 pkg 10 ounces peanut butter chips
  • 2 pkgs 13 ounces each minature peanut butter cups
  • 4 cups cold milk
  • 2 pkgs. (5 ounces each) instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract
  • 3 - 8 ounce frozen whipped cream (thawed)

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350℉. Prepare brownie mix according to package directions. Stir in peanut butter chips.
  • Spread the batter into a 13 x 9 baking pan and bake for 20-25 minutes. Be careful not to overbake. To test if the brownies are done, insert a toothpick into the center, and if it comes out clean, the brownies are done. Let them cool on a cooling rack, Once browniies are completely cooled, cut into 3/4 inch squares.
  • Cut peanut butter cups in half and set aside 1/3 cup for top of trifle.
  • In a large mixing bowl, mix the puddings and the milk for 2 minutes. The pudding mix will be thick, Add peanut butter and vanilla and mix thoroughly. Fold in 1½ cartons of whipped topping and mix well.
  • Place 1/3 of brownies in a 5-quart glass bowl and top with 1/3 of the peanut butter cups. Spoon 1/3 of the pudding mix onto this layer. Repeat layering twice more.
  • Top the final pudding layer with the remaining whipped topping and garnish the top with the reserved 1/3 cup of peanut butter cups.
  • Refrigerate until completely chilled.
